With MicroStation, you have the ability to create a 3D model when working in a 2D Design file, so you can get a working 3D model to display terrains and components from a template using the OpenRoads Corridor Modeling commands. The terrains and components are mesh elements in the design file so they can be utilized for computing volumes through the OpenRoads commands as well as performing clash detection between elements.
