Re: CELLS USED IN SYMBOLOGY

Have you loaded the Named Symbologies Tools Application Add-in? It can export named symbologies to an Excel file.

Also, if you look at the Survey folder in the XML Reports, there are two Feature Table Reports and one called Level by Code. These can be copied and modified to report a ton of information.

Modifying XML Reports is an acquired skill, but one learned is very powerful.

Shoot me a copy of your XIN and I'll shot you back some Excel Spreadsheets containing the output of a few of my reports.

Here is a sample from one XIN file we use. It has three tabs - the first two are showing the same data, but on the second one, a number of columns were removed to consolidate the listing. THe third one shows a different set of information. I use reports like this when we get client XIN files to see what they have and do not have in particular areas.

It is also possible to import/link XIN data to Excel as XML Data. However, most XIN files are too big for Excel to load everything, so you need to let it create/load a schema and then selectively pick and choose what data to display. In the long run, the XML Reports are better, IMO.
