I've attached a pdf showing the problem.  In the tool, the settings are:  To Terrain Model,  Cut and Fill. Begin Cut and End Cut slope 1.0% (and -1.0%) tried both.  We set a side and locked to beginning and end.  Transition constant.  Corner rounded.  Fill Begin and End 33%
