if you run InRoads SS2 on windows 8 as a user/power user because InRoads on Windows 8 even with UAC disabled needs to update or create some files in the program files folder and due to default security permissions on Windows 8 for installation, the rights to do this was not applied to the “program” to be able to do this when ran by a standard user. It is easy to get around by giving rights not to the user but to the “system” for the InRoads folder.
