Leveraging our OpenRoads technology, Bentley Subsurface Utility Engineering is a separately licensed extension available to all users of GEOPAK, InRoads, and MXROAD design product offerings delivered with Bentley’s V8i SELECTseries 3 refresh.
Delivering breakthrough technology for modeling underground utility assets and managing utility conflicts arising from urban development and renewals within the congested underground construction zone, Bentley Subsurface Utility Engineering provides a focused solution for planning, design, construction, and operation of underground utilites. Summarizing distinguishing functionality:
1) Full OpenRoads feature modeling – user can fully describe existing and proposed underground utility networks for water, sanitary, storm, gas, communications, and other buried facilities with required level of detail and fidelity in plan, profile, section, and 3D models.
2) Robust automated data capture and exchange – user will leverage built-in ModelBuilder and utility extraction toolsets that streamline the automated creation, update, and management of intelligent utility features allowing bi-directional informational transfers that maintain data integrity and synchronization across a federated enterprise of GIS, CAD, and other critical managed repositories of utility content.
3) Utility Conflict Management framework – the environment features a built-in modeling framework that supports the definition, update and management of clashes that arise as a result of design, construction, and/or operations within congested subsurface project zones across and in conformance with information quality levels set forth in standards of practice such as ASCE 38-02, UK NJUG (National Joint Utilities Group), CSA S250, AU IT-036 and others.
4) Extensive parts and conduit feature catalogs – users can access standard content from a library of agency standard details and build customized catalogs applicable to their particular needs and application areas.
