My first approach was to do it with Stencil tools, unfortunately it will not work for me - annotations and its leader lines extends beyond the proposed terrain. It would be great to drape annotations only by its orgin point which lies exactly at the alignement without converting text to mesh elements. In some cases it would be helpful to have this text view independent but this is not a must.
