Hello,
I am learning Geopak V8i SS2 using the Create Horizontal Alignments Learning Path and the help file as it applies.
I was experimenting with the Modify Tools as they apply to Alignments, by selecting; Application->Geopak->Road->Geometry->Graphical Coordinate Geometry->Modify Elements (see attached image) . I noticed that after trying to trim an element, the alignment geometry changed significantly, such that a line extended from end of alignment to a pi nearby. This workflow created a mess of my alignment by creating lines I did not anticipate and ones I could not trim or edit without further damage to alignment. Because of that experience I am under the impression that using these modify tools is not the preferred way to work with alignment edits. Rather it appears to be a lot more productive working with the Layout Alignments Horizontal tools and using the Place PI Alignment and edit functionality. Can someone confirm my experience or could I just be using the Modify Tools incorrectly?
