Station Chain

The Station Chain command contiguously restations the chain from the specified element. The previously stored element can be expressed as either a point (e.g., 10), curve (e.g., cur a-1) or spiral (e.g., spi a-3). The restationing can either progress ahead (AH) to the end of the chain, or back (BK) to the beginning of the chain.

Select the Chain from the list or graphically by clicking Identify Chain.

Enter the Station, and select Ahead or Back.

If the object of the initial station is a point, key in the point number in the Object field. If the object is a spiral or curve, click Equate.

Set the element option to Curve or Spiral. The software displays a list of all elements of the selected type. Select the desired element, then click Apply. The dialog will automatically close and the selected element is placed in the Stationing dialog. If the stationing dialog is set to ahead, the stationing will initiate at the P.C. of the curve. If station is set to back, the station will initiate at the PT of the curve. When the dialog is completed, click Store Chain to commence stationing.

Command Line Syntax:

STATION CHAIN name BEG station object (AH)(BK)

STATION ALIGNMENT name BEGIN station object (AHEAD)(BK)
