I have done similar things with Excel but with InRoads. We setup some equations that build one line of input at a time, using something like this:

=A3 & " " & A4 & " " & A7...

Then you can copy the formula down as many rows as needed. If there is some consistent text that needs to be in every line you can add it just like the spaces ( & " " & ) in the example.

After the column of cells looks like the correct input, we copy and paste it into notepad and save it as an input file.

And once you understand the technique you can find many other uses for it. I always save the spreadsheet as a spreadsheet and export my text, so as to not loose the formulas.
