I am designing an alley reconstruction project with a few constraints and I need help with the process. Here's what I have done so far.
Constraints:
The existing elevations of the edges of the parking spaces cannot change. ( Tie in points)
The alley slope in one direction.
Her's what I have so far:
Existing ground surface from the survey.
Created a empty surface ( temporary grading surface)
Draped the edges of the alley as a boundary into the temp grading surface
Draped a longitudinal feature along the middle of the pavement to serves as the flow line to the inlets.
Merged both surfaces to create the final grading surface...
Problem is the contours are not expected in an alley sloping towards a low point in the middle and sloping in one direction.
What am I doing wrong. I can provide the file ( small file) if it will make it clearer..
