The problem with EDIT 027 is that the converted master can have different chainages than the original string, so on the master you have the desired interval, but on the original string something different.

I have used this method (for retaining walls that have usually geometry made of straights) and found the results undesirable.

I am using DESIGN 350, 352 and 354 to create a SLD master that passes through exact points on original string. Now you can have the required chainages and the distance along string will be exact.

It's a bit tedious to create the SLD string, but UE or Excel can make it easier.
