Big time getting annoyed with this one...let me start with what I have...
My screen in set up to keep 3 view windows open: plan, 3D & XS (IMO a best practice). The XS view was created using a Corridor as its control.
The annoyance is that it appears anytime a corridor (or a linear template) is changed, the XS control corridor gets reprocessed, even if that was just the corridor that was modified. Meaning, the same corridor processes twice, back to back. This wastes a LOT of time watching the progress bar at the bottom!
I thought a fix would be to use some Civil Geometry as my XS view control instead, and while it does reduce time watching corridors process, it is rather slow/choppy when merely progressing ahead stations.
In conclusion, I feel using a corridor to run XS view is the best practice but it would REALLY be helpful if the program had enough sense to know that said corridor was recently processed.
