How can I control how long it should be?

[OR Ss4] Survey Questions: Control Points and Feature Exclusion - How are these supposed to work?
So I've added my Control Point Feature Codes into the Control Point Feature section under Points. I have tried two settings for the Import Coordinate Records (1st and last options) and I see no difference from when they were not added to the list.
We also have a check shot code that gives us a record of a check shot as a true measurement as opposed to using the data collectors check shot tool. We have found it reminds the crews to always take a check shot. We usually want this ignored. Current practice is to turn those shots into notes, but since there appears to be an Feature Exclusion, I thought I could add its code there and it would then skip the code. This too seem to have no effect.
So, my question(s) is/are this:
- What is the purpose of these two settings?
- How are they supposed to work?
- Can I get them to do what I expect them to do?
- List all control codes in the control codes branch of the field book
- Ignore/Skip the check shots so they do not plot or show up in the fieldbook automatically by the code used on them so my survey processors no longer have to note them out.

OpenRoads ConceptStation version 10.00.06.47, errors within the terrain clipping
Within OpenRoads ConceptStation version 10.00.06.47, i keep getting errors within the terrain where the bridge template transitions to the road template. If you see from the screenshot below, it doesn't appear to be clipping the terrain at certain lo
cations, even though i am above existing terrain ground level. Anyway i can fix this issue?

[IR SS2] In Cross section, how to place an element at Profile grade location?
Is there any way (Keyin, dialog, other) to give a data point at zero offset, profile grade elevation?
Yes, I am aware of the SE= precision keyin. I have to know the profile grade elevation already in order to use that.
I am hoping (against hope!) that there is some way to get the profile grade elevation for a known station while in that cross section(!) and use it to place an element.
Geopak had a great tool for this, but I am, unfortunately, no longer working in Geopak. Does InRoads have anything I can use like that?

[ORD R4] Feature XML to/From Excel Tool
I've been trying out the Feature Export from ORD after opening a copy of a Ss4 DGNLIB. Some seem to work fine, but others are throwing an error. I opened one DGNLIB that has Element Templates and Feature Definitions from a linked XIN. I was able to export Feature Definitions and Feature Symbologies and they look pretty normal in Notepad++. But when I open it in the Feature XML to/From Excel Tool that came with ORD (v04.00.05) and try to make the Excel file, I get a dialog box with an Information icon that reads: Error exporting features to Excel: Length cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: length
The message area reports 651 Feature Definitions read from the Feature XML file.
The Feature Symbologies all seem to convert.
We have three different DGNLIB's that all have some feature definitions in them. They all export but they all error out with the same message but only on feature definitions.
And older versions of the utility cannot read the current XML files.

Openroads Linear Features
I have a template with a point that moves when it finds the feature definition of an element in the modeling file. It then turns on a retaining wall. The issue I am having is that my retaining wall doesn't run the entire length of the project so when I want to pull a profile of just one of the walls it is pulling the profile of all the walls. Is there a setting somewhere that I can break that link between the walls, so it only pulls the profile of that one wall. I have attached some images of what it is doing. Is there a way to break the link between the two retaining walls? Maybe a setting somewhere?

Using LIDAR files in MicroStation or AcoSIM
I have downloaded UK LIDAR files from the government website. They come in .laz and .asc format.
Neither format is offered in Attach Point Cloud Dialog.
I tried renaming .laz to .las but the message I got was "Failed to Convert"
Can anybody help ?
When I manage to import, I assume the files will contain points.
What is the easiest way to get triangles ?

feature point does not show in the cross section annotation.

i am using Power rail track software SS4
I have created a template in which i have added a component for drain and created the corridor and after that created the cross sections. Now i am trying to annotate component points. in order to do so i have to go into the feature tab in cross section annotation and in that a list will display under crossing feature where i can find the all the component points. but it is always a problem that i am not able to some components points.
i have searched about the solution in the bentley community but every solution is actually for ss2 not for SS4.
1) in the first image i am showing the drain component with point name with suffix OD5.......etc.
2) in the second image you can see these point names are not present in the crossing feature list.

OpenRoads Designer Connect Edition - Line and Curve tables
We have recently moved to OpenRoads Connect (from InRoads V8i) and could not locate how to create a line and curve table to label some detailed parcels
We did extensive searching through the help menus but had to finally give up and go back to InRoads to get the tables done. Two hours of searching versus 10 minutes of doing it.
Any thoughts on where this or how it is done differently in OpenRoads Connect?

OpenRoads Color Indicators
Good Morning,
Does anyone have a pdf or summary of all the different indicator colors within OpenRoads with their meaning? I have searched all over and cannot find a list and would like to compile one for new Openroads users. By color indicators I mean:
1. What does black, red, and blue mean under the template drops?
2. What are the different colors in superelevation representing?
3. What are the pink and green squares under the temporary cross sections "Open Cross Section View" respresenting?
4. Any additional color indicators that may be helpful when reviewing a model. I haven't used the program in its entirety and am sure there are other places where colors are used and it would be useful to know.
Any and all help is appreciated, thank you.

LAS file version for InRoads SS2
Trying to import LAS data into a surface using InRoads SS2 8.11.07.615 and having no success. Have always been able to import LAS data previously but wondering if LAS version is creating issue. Current LAS data is version 1.4, data previously used was an earlier version. If this is an issue, any known work arounds to import the data into a surface?

Corridor reattach multiple corridors
Is there a way to do corridor-reattach on multiple corridors? Via script, input dialog, or other mechanism. Can be very handy as a bulk mechanism in the event an alignment is deleted.
Current workflow to reduce processing is:
1) Lock all corridors
2) do corridor-reattach for each corridor
3) Unlock corridors and they auto-process again
It would be nice if this was a one-step process.

MX: Version 64 indisponible

Je viens de désinstaller MXroad version 08.11.07.566 de mon poste, car je rencontre quelque soucis avec.
J'ai pensé mettre à jour le programme en téléchargeant la dernière version. Hors ne sont disponibles que les versions en 32bits.
J'ai téléchargé la dernière version française en 32 bits (08.11.09.879) pour voir si elle s'installe, mais malheureusement non.
Où puis je trouver une version plus récente (en français) que celle que j'ai en 64?

How do I show clothoid parameter instead of clothoid length?
In OpenRoads Designer (2018 Release 2) The table editor will only show Spiral Length – not the parameter.
Is there any way to add a column showing the clothoid parameter?
Secondly; when using the Design Standards and Complex Geometry By PI, the dialog is very reluctant to show A-value instead of Length. It changes back to Length all the time.
Thirdly; the typed in value (being A-value or Length) shows as the manipulator value. Is there a way to always show the A-value (or Lenght)?

Crash editing survey chains
Geopak survey keeps crashing while editing survey chains. I am trying to insert arcs and after a few chains it locks up.

Problems in placing linear templates in Openroad Designer Connect Edition
Hi, I am trying to place linear templates according to the tutorials videos found on the Bentley learn server using openroad designer.However, I've encountered the problem as the image showed above where there are certain chainage where my curb templates do not appear. I couldn't locate what is wrong there, can anyone help me with this?Really appreciate it very much.

Totals in Quantities Report by Named Boundary - ORD
Hi
Totals in Quantities Report by Named Boundary volume calculation are missing, Cut and fill are thought in every station.
Has anyone solution?
And why is there difference in Volume Cut between EAV and Quantities Report by Named Boundary.
One has 767.543m3 and the other 807.942m3

Single-processor tasks
Good day
I've noticed that some processes within MicroStation CONNECT (and thus, by extension, ORD) are still single-processor tasks. Amongst others, corridor processing, creating of drawings from named boundaries, element and model annotation, and plotting of PDFs from a pset file.
Is there a plan to redesign these processes to take advantage of all CPU cores? Even on a machine with the latest CPU, best GPU, SSD, and oodles of RAM, annotating cross-sections is unbearably slow. In the screenshot below, I'm running the Model Annotation tool, and it's evident that ORD is only using 1 out of my 6 cores. My previous machine had 8 slightly slower cores, which made things even worse.
