Since our client demanding AutoCAD out put files, I was trying to export cross section and profiles to AutoCAD from Openrads. I tried all possible ways but could not get a proper output. You guys have an idea Is it possible or any proper way which I have not tried. I have asked this question to some of Bentley guys unfortunately they could not comeback with a solution. If it is not possible, then there is no use for me to use Openroads software and go back to PowerInroads which does quite good.

Open Roads - error opening files

Since yesterday when I try to open an ORD file, the program does not load the file, or asks me to send an error report to Bentley. I have already uninstalled and installed again, but still with the same error, below the print.

Any BIM viewers work with ORD IFCs?
Hi all,
I have been doing some testing of the new IFC export functionality and am having problems finding ANY mainstream BIM viewers that can open it. I can appreciate it is IFC 4 Add 2 and not all viewers support that version, but does any one know of anything that does? I really need to be able to verify how non-Bentley products see the exports to use this for project deliverables.
So far no luck with Solibri or Navisworks 2019...

OpenRoad Designer 10.04.00.48 crash with Microstation Array command
Hi,
Can anyone prove this?
The program crashed when we use the Microstation Array command.
This only happens in the latest version of OpenRoads.
We have tested this on 2 different computers
In the previous version it worked fine.

MX - Run-time error 76 path not found - Help!
I have been using MX Road V8i Select Series 4 (first time in about a year) and a few times it has come up with a 'Run-time error 76 path not found'
I have to shut MX and restart, and I used it all day yesterday without the error appearing, so it appears a bit random.
Has anyone got any ideas how I can fix this?

[OR Ss4 Survey] Were not in Kansas Anymore, Toto... What's different from Native Survey Tools
OK, I've been posting some of these in drips and drabs. Now, we have a consultant helping us to work with OR Ss4 Survey and the questions are starting to pile up.
I believe we have come to the realization that while many InRoads Survey Codes can be used, the entire workflow of editing is substantially different However, some clarifications may be needed:
- In InRoads Survey, we had to use sequence numbers when more than one figure of the same style/code was being collected at the same time. Occasionally, during processing, we would have to manually add sequence numbers in order to get the figures to draw in an acceptable manner. Is there a way to add another figure or to change a figures's sequence number while in a session?
- In InRoads Survey, adding an ST to a Survey Feature defined as a Point with no Line Settings (Joint to Previous, same Code & Draw Connecting Line did nothing. Using a JPT on a code without Draw Connecting Line enabled also did nothing. The prevented errant lines being drawn where none are expected. In my limited testing, adding an ST to the same codes, based upon a linked XIN will draw lines. Is this WAD or a bug? IMHO, it's a bug.
- A number of the default Alpha Codes use a * as one of the characters - these are all Control Codes. Since we have to use the Space_Separated variable for our codes, can we eliminate the * and an the crews type in the code and the required number with or without a space or must we use a space?
- BTW, I have figured out that the input sequence for adding or editing a JPT seems to be to make sure you press a tab key after entering the point number. Whatever I was doing wrong seems to have ironed itself out.
I may add to this as time goes on, especially if there are not much in the way of responses.
PS. The help files on Survey Processing are nearly non-existent and really need fleshing out.

SD checking result table in ORD turns buggy?
Hello
I run a SD checking in ORD using the table delivered with ANZ workspace.
The required SD is 165m, and the grading corrections.
Obviously the Grade shown in the table are all "0", which means the grading cal does not work as well.
So, I need paste them in spreadsheet to calculate the garde and do the grading corrections.
But, "Sight Distance Along Sight Line Achieved" turned to be wrong numbers, it normally larger numbers than the required distance.
It works in Inroads so I am expecting ORD could do the same job.
Someone know what happens here?

Erstellen von Klothoioden (Übergangsbogen)
Guten Tag miteinander.
Ich möchte folgende Klothoide mit Anfangs- und Endbogen erstellen.
Ausgangslage / Ziel:
Bogen R=60, Zentrum rechts (bereits definiert)
Klothoide, Bogenlänge=32m, Zentrum links (gesucht)
Bogen R=60, Zentrum rechts (bereits definiert)
Nach meinem Wissen müssen alle Kreisbögen und die Klothoide das Zentrum auf der gleichen Seite haben. Das ist bei mir jedoch nicht der Fall.
Kann mir da jemand helfen, wie ich trotzdem zu meiner Achse komme?

Profile Annotation Group - Levels at Offset/ Alternate Alignment(s)
Hi
Does anyone know how one would modify the profile framed annotation group to include design levels at more than one offset to the main geometry?
Currently there is only an option to select "Z along Secondary" as a row definition and not much more, as shown in the screenshot below.
All of our title blocks require at least two sets of levels at offsets, some even more. In the GEOPAK Draw Profile and Draw Profile Tabular Data tools, one could create as many additional offset profiles to provide levels on.

ORD Corridor buggy or faulty ?! version update4 10.04.00.48
Hi guys
It is not a complain. I just want to raise the problem happens to me.
I setup the corridor model of 10km road , but after I changed a profile of a vertical point control in the xref, then I got this.
The corridor gone, it is a 10km road and looks like the only way to fix is to rework.. it's not an issue if we got time.
The thing is If it happens just before the deadline, then of course the business will be dead.
How to avoid this? Should we got some ideas about how this happen?

ORD Dynamic 3D Cuts in Profiles to DWG?

I've been trying to get the dynamic 3D cut in my profiles to export to DWG - has anyone had any luck with this? Without this, we lose a lot of value for the dynamic sectioning part of ORD as our market mainly uses DWG for CAD.

design input report ord station in mm instead of metr
When I make a corridor report design input, the station read out is in mm while design file setting units is in meters. Does anybody know what's happening?

ORD DWG Export Workflows
Hi guys,
I'm trying to set up some standard ORD DWG export processes for my organization and have only found a few methods to get the outputs I require without issues that require extensive post-processing to be good enough for delivery. Plan exports are a bit convoluted to get past the issue of string gaps joining up outside of the CONNECT environment, but it gets us close to what we want - unfortunately many issues regarding annotation values changing on export. Ideally i'd love us to be using Microstation to take advantage of the native dynamics, but unfortunately our market is primarily AutoCAD for drafting.
Here's what i've come up with so far using ORD 2018 R3;
2D DWG Plan export:
Steps:
1. Open new DGN using 2D seed
2. Reference in Default-3D model with no nesting
3. Turn off unnecessary levels and merge to master
4. Select all Complex Chains and drop (required to avoid linestring joins at gaps in DWG - only seen in SS4 & acad)
5. Export to DWG
Issues - Some residual "ghost" elements are exported on layer 0

1. Workspace variable: MS_REF_VISEDGE_ATTACH_STATE = CachedAutomatic
2. DWG Export options: References > Merge Visible Edges of 3D Attachments (to export section component meshes to shape elements)
Issues - Point name annotation is exported as "NONE" for all points (any way to convert fields to static text - auto update field value does not affect this)
Profile DWG export:
Required settings:
1. Export to DWG with References > Self-Attachments: Merge (to get profile and profile annotation to export)
Issues:
- 3D Cut elements are not exported
- Profile Geometry Annotation, eg. grade and K-value change to 0.00
- Profile itself is exported as a B-Spline Curve (Any way to export this as a polyline - entity mapping doesn't work)
- Lines are exported between Profile IPs on Layer 0
Any suggestions would be appreciated

GEOPAK processing issues
I have a question but not sure who i should ask about it in the community world. So i have FDOTSS4 workstation v01.08.00 running on a windows 10 enterprise pro laptop and it's a brand new laptop from HP. One of my engineers uses GEOPAK and Microstation on the computer to do his work. They issue that he is having is that on the computer when he is trying to close a project for the compliance check the computer takes upwards of 4 minutes or more to check and close before he can move on to another document. Another issue would be when he tries to open one of his drawing tools in GEOPAK the program crashes every time.
The engineer also has a windows 7 computer and he does the same exact process on that computer, the compliance check literally takes 2 seconds to check and it's done and he can move on to another project. He also is able to use the drawing tools with no issue at all on the windows 7 computer.
My question, is there a settings on the windows 10 computer that needs changing to allow the program to work more efficiently and not crash? why does it take a long time to load different processes?
I don't know who else to ask on this issues so any help will greatly be appreciated.

Removing Item that appears in Flex table but not in the drawing
The conduit does not exist in the drawing but is still showing up in the flex table and causing an error int he computation. Is there a way that the phantom pipe can be removed?

Extraction de puntos a distancia dada a partir de los linear3d generados en los corredores
Necesito obtener las coordenadas de puntos a una distancia dada en los linear 3d que se generan al procesar un corredor y poderlos exportar a fichero xls, csv o txt para poderlos utilizar para replantear, he intentado generando un feature definition con feature simbology para la representacion 3d y con textos favoritos colocando los valores x y z de los elementos 3d y creando el correspondiente grupo de anotacion, mi idea era en el corredor sustituir el Feature definition generado por el nuevo. Resulta que si creo yo un eje con el Feature definition que he creado y le doy elevacion en un modelo de perfil, me lo anota, pero cuando cambio el Feature definition al 3d linear del corridor ya no lo anota, aun en el caso que lo consiguiese no se como generar un fichero. Alguna sugerencia? Creo que esto es una operacion basica pero no se como hacerlo
