It really runs the same as in MicroStation, except that it creates sheet views instead of new DGN files from seed. Here are some tips that I have found helpful over the years:
.) In AutoCAD, turn off the running object snaps before run the Plan and Profile Generator. Sometimes having the OSNAPS on while running it can cause the command to place the data in the wrong location if it accidently snaps to a graphic drawn previously.
.) In the Plan and Profile Generator, set your first sheet location to 0,0.
.) In AutoCAD, turn the 'Show page setup dialog for new layouts' setting OFF in AutoCAD. This brings up a dialog box every time you create a new view port, which you don't want while Plan and Profile Generator is running.
.) Turn off the setting in AutoCAD that automatically creates a new viewport in each new sheet.
.) I seem to recall that there was a way to set the minimum and maximum coordinate range for the size of the sheets (don't remember the command right now). As I recall, the default sheet size was from 0,0 to 8.5,11, so we always had to bump it up to 24,36 or whatever size plot we were creating.
