OpenRoads - End Area Volumes

hi,

now I am struggling with Cross-Sections and End-Area volumes.

I have an existing ground, there are some pavement structures  of various depth that need to be removed (unsuitable material). In SS2 there was an option to add to cross -sections unsuitable material by feature. We don't have that option in SS3.

Hence I assigned some surface templates limited with boundaries to my existing ground. Feature definition I used for creating these surface templates has a setting: Surface Defaults/Volume Option: Existing (but I checked it with Substrata and Subgrade as well). I cut mu cross-sections and run End Area Volume tool. These surface templates have Type set to Design (General bookmark) and I assumed it should be Existing Type.

Then classifications: I have my designed components and these surface templates listed here. I mark surface templates as unsuitable material so its area and volume should not be counted as CUT but it is. It should not be colored with shape color for cut, but it is. There is a repport that adds unsuitable material to fill, but in these case it adds nothing. Of course the area of surface templates is listed in reports but it is not counted toogether as unsuitable material, it does not decrease cut volumes and it is not added to fill.

1) so is there a way, to use surface template with existing ground to compute volumes (force it to be an element of existing type in Cross-Sections). I just need a workaround since there is no Unsuitable Material by Feature option. How to classify these surface templates as unsuitable material and compute cut and fill volumes correctly.

2) is there an option to obtain botom line (bottom mesh) of surface with surface templates of various depth assigned? something like boolean operation and creating terrain by difference from two other terrains?

Any idea? End-Area Volume are the last stage of my very first project completed with OpenRoads Technology and I am getting frustrated here.
