I am noticing that in version 674 of SS3 I can no longer use the horizontal offset tools from interval elements. Why is this? I can i get around this? There are many circumstances where this type of operation would be necessary.

I am currently using Inroads V8i select series 2. I am trying to use the horizontal annotation, it prompted me that it is complete but I do not anything displayed. I followed the sample video but I did not get the same result. Need your help.

View Horizontal Annotation
In InRoads XM, when using the View Horizontal Annotation tool, if I turn on Display as Complex Linestring, no lines are annotated. Arcs will annotate honoring other toggles and settings. I have not tested Spirals.

Cut/Fill Volumes (TM tool) with Intersection Civil Cells
Modeling intersections via a Civil Cell is absolutely amazing. However, since there is no function to create top/bottom meshes for Civil Cells, if we want to use this (also assume ) new tool to create Cut & Fill Volumes (meshes), it gets quite complicated. Yes, we can change the Linear Template Design Stage to include the meshes, but what about the Applied Surface Template to the intersection TM?
My creativity has me coming up with placing another open (just simple 2 pt component) component at the bottom of the surface template.
Anyone else have any ideas on this?

Item Browser with OpenRoads
Has Item Browser being somehow turned off? When I open it, it says "no content available to display" and when I open tree Manager, it is completely empty and the New button in upper left does nothing...

If you create a terrain for the cell a surface template can be applied to it which will create other elements such as pavement layers. Is that what you are looking to do?

No, I am already doing that (as vaguely mentioned in OP). In case I have lost readers on what is trying to be accomplished, I want EW Volumes between existing ground and the subgradeof all proposed Civil Objects (Corridors, Linear Templates (LT) & proposed Terrain Models (TM)), but to be done from surface to surface, not EAV. This is mostly easy as Corridors & LT both have design stages which produce Bottom Meshes- TM however do not. I thought I was being creative (in OP) by adding a simple 2 pt line component to the Surface Template (ST) that is my Bottom Mesh, but unfortunately, ST only work with components that have thickness and are perfectly vertical (no batter on ends).
Long story short, it appears I will need to either create an offset TM for the subgrade, or add 3D linears from the AST into a new TM- either way, kinda a pain.

Yeah, I turned the Automatic Refresh back on, and that did it as far as the virtual graphics (it looks like the Help section calls them Dynamic Graphics, so I guess I'll have to get used to calling it that). Like I said; I created this XIN starting from a copy of our in-house one, so I don't know how, or why, that box got unchecked.
I only tested it a little bit here at home, so I'm gonna test the filtering and whatnot a little further in depth when I'm at the office, and have some more data and project files, etc. to test with. You wouldn't think that the two are related, and I thought it odd that the filter wasn't being honored.
Also, it looks like you're correct (whodda thunk it?) when you questioned about having to manually regenerate the graphics NOT being standard behavior. The Help even states:
"If the Automatic Refresh option is on, you do not need to run the Regenerate Graphics command."
Like I said, I'll fiddle with it more when I get more of a chance. In fact, I actually read your reply a few days after you posted, but like you, recently or whatever I've been busy with actual project work.
And this was in both Ss2 and Ss3, native InRoads tools, not the Civil Survey or Open Roads. Not sure who or what changed that setting, but if I find out, I WILL be cracking the whip!

View Survey Data problems...?
I'm having trouble with the survey data for a couple projects, both using the same XIN settings. First, when I open the FWD, the temporary (virtual) graphics don't display. I can't turn them on. In addition, when I write the survey data to graphics, it's not honoring the filter. When I invoke the filter, the data DOES filter out in the FWD file, i.e. filter by G code, and only the G shots are displayed in the FWD. However, when I write the graphics, all shots get written.
Is this something to do with the XIN file? Other projects, I'm not having this problem. This happens in both InRoads Ss2 and Ss3.

After completing Superelevation, there is Edit button as shown in the below snapshot. As you soon as you clicked edit button, there is a Current tab, Conflicts, and Rules Values tab, you can edit those values or error as shown in the MX Output Window and resolve Superelevation conflicts.

I have used the acad version in mx to create a polyline instead of using polyline from AutoCAD. (create line using civil tools-horizontal align). However I couldn't convert the polyline to a master string. It always get hang/crash at the end of the process. Have you ever experienced the same problem?

80% rise on PowerCivil Select fee? Why?
Dear Bentley guys
What is the reason to rise the select fee by 80% of PowerCivil for UK?
It's became a so powerful and good product in the last few months?
We have all the functions than we had in the old GEOPAK version of PowerCivil SS2? (Difference grid, etc.)
Will be able to create a terrain model of 50.000 points without crashes? (Now I can't in SS3, and but I can in SS2)
Will be able to change models in a file of 10 MB without crashes? (Now I can't in SS3, and but I can in SS2)
Can I control the license usage or you just send the overuse bills?
Why is the select fee? Why worth it for ME?
Why the bills are the ONLY communication form between you and me (the user) that you know in the recent years?

Hi amitha,
For your info, my current mx version is V8i SS3 08.11.09.674. The steps are as shown below;
(1) Create an alignment using civil tools-horizontal alignment.
(2) Using the auto conversion toolbar, create a modal and set the style set for it
(3) Then select the feature set ;like (geometry) road centrelines and then select the alignment and convert it.
At the end of the process, its started to crash/hang.
