Hi Guys,
All drawings that I produce for my work projects are set up in 2D format; however, I am learning 3D format tools for myself to broad my MicroStation knowledge. I have read about fundamental differences between 2D and 3D drawings such as ACS, Active Depth and Display Depth terms and I comprehend that material pretty well.
Indeed, I am experiencing difficultices with Active Depth and Depth Display options. So, I set up my display depth to -10,000 and 10,000 (key-in dp=-10,000,10,000) and active depth to 0 (key-in az=0). After drawing few lines at zero elevations, zooming in and out the display depth always gets messed up. In other words it doesn't lock to my specified limits. Also, when I zoom out from the object it disappear from screen. Finally, I display depth (jey-in dp=$) I get totally different numbers.
Is there a way to lock those limits?
Or can I set display depth limits to infinite numbers? Otherwise, I simply cant draw a line. The start point snaps somewhere off the screen.
Thanks,
Artem
