I am using Parametric Constraints with my Templates and at a few locations, there is a specific change in my template, like a sidewalk ends. I am using the parametric constraints to widen the grading behind the curb for the template without the sidewalk so the hinge point behind the sidewalk continues at the same offset and elevation. As part of the parametric constraints, I gradually reduce the width to the normal, no sidewalk grading width.
I am also very OCD when it comes to point and label naming, so points continue across template drops and also so do Parametric Constraint Labels.
Occasionally, the constrain value spills over across the template drop and when I try to add constraints to eliminate this, I need to know what is the best approach for no-transition template drops and station values - should there be a minimum gap? No Gap?
For example on two constraints today , I had to add 0.001 to two start stations for two Parametric constraints so the initial station did not show the constraint being applied to the prior template drop.
