Hi
I am attempting to label segments using the Annotate Cross Section tool. I have selected "include Segments" and have unchecked points and features. I am only trying to place one label at a time by manually selecting the points I want to label between. When I select apply, every segment in the existing terrain is being labeled. Every label I produce, this happens to the existing ground line. Below is an example of what the labeler is producing.

i have attached screenshot.
I have a model in openroads that was created off of imported geopak profiles. This model has been updated many times with this same gpk and it correctly replaced the previous profile. However, for some reason in the last two weeks when I import the new profiles, they show in the openroads file, are active, but the model does not follow them correctly. There are phantom lines that show up if you hover over them that show bits and pieces of the previous profile. The only solution thus far is to deactivate the new profile, delete everything, including all the old invisible profile lines, then reimport the new profile.
On top of this, some of the new profiles will come in only 80-90% correct. The elevations for each PI will be correct, but many will be on the wrong station. Again, I can fix this by manually selecting each PI and editing the station to match what it should be, but on a 5 mile long project, this takes time and leaves a large room for error.
The first picture shows the PI when imported into openroads from the gpk. Remember, this profile has been imported before and been fine, only minor changes have been made between each import:

Has anyone found a way to have a workspace on a network, but have the delivered workspace still located at its default location? Generally, we want users to access our workspace for its settings, but if they need to do a self paced training, we would also want to allow them to use the training and example workspaces. We would rather not put a full copy of them on the server, but only have files needed for our workspace located there.
I have a very good grasp of pre-ORD workspaces, but this is pretty much starting over from scratch.
In the past, I have managed to have PCF files that change folders of UCF files and UCF files that change folder of PCF files. I'm hoping I can select a Workspace and the list of worksets will change, and that some of these will be on the users C: Drive and others will be on the network.
Any ideas or tips will be greatly appreciated.

I was wondering why is my file holding on to old components. I added the superelevation and it kept the old pavement. I am working out of ORD Release 2 - 2019
I am unable to delete this component and it does not exist in the explorer.

When importing in Inroads method, the reduction of the data is correct
When using the openroads method, most of the time it will recognize both angles, but only uses the first angle to compute the data.
I have turned on the "Adjustment" 
and rarely but sometimes it will work. It appears to get confused.
Hi guys,
Since i'm using Open Road Designer, I was never able to see my text in the Text Editor Window. Background is always white and my text is invisible (see image below).
I'm not even able to select the text to edit it (I reached the point where I have to count letters and numbers and try to figure out what I have to modify...huge waist of time).
I tried to change the background color, the text color, I also checked and unchecked the "Hide Field Background" in the Editor Preferences but nothing changed....
Any advises?????

Does anyone know if theres a way to display the Element ID property in the Properties dialog in ORD? It seems to have been removed from the dialog specifically for ORD for some reason.
Seeing that this is crucial for dependencies and relationship integrity it is something we really need to identify why object links get broken, etc
I tried the old CIVIL_SHOW_MS_PROPERTIES configuration variable, but it doesn't seem to display it either unfortunately.

TMPLsurvey linking code has been extensively talked about both in InRoads and Openroads but I simply cannot find any example anywhere.
Can any experts out there help.
What file format to be selected to enable this to be processed?
Ideally I would want a video demonstration of the workflow involved here.
To help in answering this I have attached a file to be processed in OpenRoads.
So i know if you open dynamic cross sections based off a corridor you can place temporary dimensions. but if you open a dynamic cross section based off the alignment you can not place temporary dimension lines.
So my question is how can i easily get what slope a given line is in a dynamic cross section that was opened based on an alignment.
and no opening it based off a corridor is not an option since alot of it is modeling with surface and linear templates.
i feel like this is a simple task and i cant figure out how to do this.
I'm currently running MX Road V8i SS4, and it seems to be crashing on me several times a day (more times than i have fingers to count!). I've always thought SS4 was more unstable than previous releases, even worse when running it with ProjectWise integration. And since upgrading to Windows 10 last month, I'm loosing far too much time with crashes.
Is it still possible to get MX Road V8i SS2? I can't see it anywhere in the Bentley fulfilment centre. The whole design is being coded on input files, so i don't need any of the openroads tools.

I am currently having an issue with the Subsurface Utilities within OpenRoads Desginer.
1. I want to create a new node which would be a rectangular or a triangular cross section, since there´s only trapezoidal cross sections for this, but I had no success (I have tried to solve this issue by going to the feature definition and creating new ones, creating new prototypes and new catalog itens). Is there a way to solve this?
2. After that I also want to create new sections for some conduit which would match with those cross section that I mentioned above, I thought that if I just changed the prototype it would work out but that haven´t been the case.

I'd appreciate some thoughts/guidance on the following.
When performing SSD check for, say 60m SSD. I want OpenRoads to check the forward visibiltiy up until 60m.
I have created a surface with a 'large wall' in the centre of the road and performed an SSD check using Civil 3D and OpenRoads. The alignment and terrain and the same for both. The eye/object height and offset are exactly the same. Civil 3D identifies that the SSD fails before 60m and provides the SSD acheived, however OpenRoads seems to just check the 60m distance between the eye and object. Civil 3D in this situation seems to check SSD in a more thoughouh manner. I'm probably missing a step in OpenRoad but I would appriecate some guidance.

(As i am also a civil 3d user there is an option "add offset alignment " in which the offset line also shifts as we adjust our alignment)

We're busy working on exporting OpenRoads designs to IFC. Half proof-of-concept and half because we need to.
Corridors export okay (although definitely not perfect, InfraWorks can't handle the IFCs exported by ORD), but we can't get Subsurface Utilities models to export to IFC at all. Is there a way?
If not, what's the best way of get SUE models into an SHP format that includes all of the detailed information? Or even at all?
