How to modify a complex alignment in ORD

Please suggest method to modify Complex alignment with designed profile at various locations as modifications keep happens throughout the project cycle. Followings are some points regarding the problem
1. How Horizontal design to be changed retaining designed profile at unaffected length.
2. How changes can be made containing profile but fully delete the existing horizontal alignment at changed sections (not required existing alignment and to make file size small).
3. How reports can be used as input file in horizontal and vertical design separately e.x at some time i need pre designed vertical profile information to be applied in a file where only there is small change(horizontal). same procedure as in MX ROADS quick input method.

The procedure mentioned in link below is not applicable in real design due to length of design section(approx 20 km in single file)

SUDA and Geopak Drainage - Import Process

Hello,

Does anyone have experience applying importing a Geopak Drainage design to SUDA?  

My initial thought was rather than using the StormCAD inlet, we would have to create the drainage nodes (structures- inlets, MH, etc) in the catalog in order to match the Geopak Drainage cell library from the client.  Is this seems to be an extensive process?  I'm curious if anyone has had sucess with this import process.

Annotation Group for XS labels

ORD 10.07.00.56

I've got one annotation group set up containing a definition to label both the existing ROW and proposed ROW, using the same cell, within sheeted cross sections.  Currently this does not label anything.  I can create another definition and redefine the expressions to either include the existing or proposed and it works.  Is there a known problem running multiple expressions within a single definition using the same cell or am I missing something within the definition?

ORD ITL Template Conversion Utility

Hi,

I used the ITL_ImportExport_Excel-v01.00.13 utility to convert my InRoads SS2 ITL to excel to edit it.  After making edits to feature names I exported part of the way through and it worked.  Now that I finished the edits in excel I get the error message "Error Reading from ITL file: " ", hexadecimal value 0x03, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 3.  Is there a way to figure out what is breaking my ITL import. I've spent a few days now editing it to update all of our feature definitions.

Extracting utilities from 2D files

I am trying to get the hang of subsurface utility modeling in ORD. I have an existing utility 2d file and I have brought some underground storm lines into the 3d space using extract from graphic and filter.

How is the elevation data computed?

I assign the surface but the vertical offset is still below the terrain model. Drainage structure nodes automatically show up when a bend occurs but sometimes they are at elevation 0 and some pipes don't hit them.

Any advice or resources? Thanks

Set the Longitudinal Slope for an Inlet manually

Is it possible to change the Longitudinal Slope for an inlet in Subsurface Utilities if a Terrain Model is used to automatically delineate the catchment area which drains to the inlet?  I am changing the longitudinal slope in the Inlet Table, but the program re-write it with an automatically calculated value.

raster doesn't show up properly

Often when zooming in and out when I have an aerial raster attached, this image of a old-time camera pops up and I can't see what I'm doing. This also happens when I try to prin anything and I have to ask others in my office to print for me. does anyone know what this issue is, and how to solved it? I'm in Power Geopak V8i

Openroads Terrain Symbology issues/ ORD 2019 R1

Folks:

I have attached an image of what is my issue. I imported an existing InRoads DTM into ORD, and while ORD has populated the level convention I have required, the text symbology seems to go to the default level. It is honoring the text style, but even when I force it to go to the correct level (see the properties box: "PR_DTM_Major_Contours_Txt"), it does not honor the color (see the level manager dialog). Furthermore, should there not be a text level setting for the contours in the CalculatedFeatureSettings within the element template?

I have tried this import in both a 2D seed file and a 3D seed file, but such makes no difference insomuch as this issue is concerned

.

What am I missing here??

[ORD] Asset Manager Element Count Item Type Property?

Hi all,

I have a requirement to add an instance or counter attribute as an integer using Item Types. Is there any possible way to do this using the ORD Asset Manager?

eg. Attach Item Type to element 1 will get Item Type Property value 001, then Attribute 2 then have a Item Type property 002, then 3, 4, etc. etc.

Display existing right of way lines on ALL dynamic cross sections

I am trying to show my existing right of way lines in the dynamic cross sections but when I set the RW lines profile from surface active, and then update the dynamic cross sections it shows up as follows only for one station. When I go to the next it disappears. Why is it only showing up until I move forward or backwards?

End Condition Exception

ORD 10.07.00.56

Currently I have a corridor that has an End Condition Exception (Right Override) built into it.  I'm trying to set an ECE (Right Transition) upstation from the ECE(RO) roughtly 50 ft.  When I add it and tie all the points together the EC in the transition drops out.

The original EC and the EC I used for the exception has a horizontal search feature tied to the point and a linear horizontal as the target type tied to the component.  I then have a vertical EC set to solve to the existing Terrain...the whole EC is set to solve to the existing ROW.

When I use conventional end conditions to test, the ECE-Right Override and Right Transition solves the way I would expect it to.

Not sure if I'm missing something with setup.

Bonjour,

J'essaie de draper des orthophotos sur un STM en suivant la vidéo suivante:

Cependant, après avoir valider la sélection des orthos pour les "bouger sur le STM, celles ci disparaissent soudainement de la liste des rasters et de l'affichage à l'écran.

Je n'obtiens pas le résultat de la vidéo.

MicroStation V8i - Select by Attributes - Show only used levels

How do I show only used levels in the Select By Attributes dialog box?  In the image on the left all the levels are being displayed and in the image on the right only the levels that have elements are being displayed and I'm trying to figure out how this was accomplished.
